The bench allows the installation and test of real avionics equipment. It is stimulated by a whole set of signal generators, which may be of discrete, analog, ARINC 429 or other types. Accordingly, the output data can be monitored and recorded at the instructor station.

The test bench allows for the direct patching of signals via patch panels.

The test bench is part of an entire setup consisting of Engineering Simulator, Iron Bird and Integrated Avionics Test Bench. So, avionics data can not be only measured an stimulated, the devices can actually be flown by a pilot before the first flight of the airplane.

The 728 Avionics Test Bench has been operated successfully for several months until the insolvency of our customer Fairchild Dornier.
